All Committee positions are volunteer-based. Parents are encouraged and welcome to become more involved in Club activities. Please consider joining the committee and contributing to ensure the continued success of the Club.
Parents are asked to assist at swim meets as timekeepers and/or technical officials. As timekeepers no experience is necessary and it is guaranteed ‘best' seat in the house!
The technical official roles include Referee, Judge of Strokes, Inspector of Turns, Starter, Chief Timekeeper, Marshall, Meet Manager and Meet Director. There will be training and support for parents willing to develop themselves for these roles. It is essential for the Club to have several parents able to take on each role.
Another great way to get involve is team manager when ASSC sends teams away to intrastate and interstate events. Again, training and support will be given to parents interested in this role.
BBQ Fundraising events, such as those held at Bunnings, a roster will be placed on our Facebook page and we ask all our swimmers and parents to volunteer a time slot to minimize the need to fundraise to cover expenses. This allows the committee to organise fundraising events for items beneficial to all club members as well as fundraising to support swimmers attending interstate Swim Meets.
