Alice Springs has returned from the South Australian Country Championships, displaying some sizzling times in the pool. After two incredible days of competition, Alice Springs Swimming Club has returned from Katherine with ninety eight medals including forty nine gold. Punching above their weight, the eighteen swimmers aged from nine to fourteen, braved the hot and humid conditions to show off their swimming capabilities, and as a bonus finished the weekend with five age champions and a new record holder. Alice Springs Swimming Club is sending a strong team of eighteen swimmers to the Katherine Swimming Carnival this weekend.   Seasoned campaigners Lilly and Ben Bloomer, Harrison and Anthony Knott, Hannah Markham and JJ Siah, are keen to build on previous performances. Alice Springs Swimming Club has returned from Darwin after excelling at the Northern Territory Short Course Championships. IT'S A RETURN TO THE POOL
With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, Alice Springs Swimming Club has hit pool at the Alice Springs Aquatic and Leisure Centre and resumed training, with all swimmers agreeing it's great to be back in the water.   Junior swimmer Thomas Markham said “to be just back in the water is so awesome and it's great to catch up with the squad”.
